Law and regulations enforcement is one of the key aspects of protected areas management. It relies on the implementation of specific processes that reduce or eliminate threats to protected area values. Law enforcement requires understanding, learning and applying specific knowledge and techniques.

The instructors

There are four main instructors presenting this course: Geoffroy Mauvais (IUCN-Papaco), Koutoua Benoît Amon (Ivorian Parks and Reserves Authority), Philippe Gitz (Cantonal’s Police investigative division in Vaud) and Lydia Slobodian (IUCN Legal Unit).
